City must be "REFRAMED"
As a territorial marker, these objects acts as an edge between inhabitant and place, though access would be granted if the person chose to progress beyond the edge, the question becomes what is the psychological ramification of being at constant separation from the person's own place and home. To constantly be in the mode of observation, on the road, in the car, within the aluminum framework that bounds our visual, limiting what we are able to see before these visuals are impeded by the metal casing and seating of the car; framing our city, constantly, always, but never placing the city in our hands long enough that a personal relationship can root from the experience.... The car, road, and light post, are just the smaller elements within a larger scope of things that keeps us from understanding and caring for our city and yet they are very much needed. It would not be practical to say that they should simply be removed as these elements are the vein within the body of societal progress. Rather the better solution might exist within working with these means of observation... the city must be re-framed and the image bound within the frames must be able to engage inhabitants on a more sensorial level that is not just perceived.
