Light Post as the Edge Between Us and That Which We've Created
Light Post are man made creations that governs movement. They establish boundaries visually through their stagnant slender form and from what they decide to expose or disclose from us, they establish visual and psychological alignment in movement, they determine when someone will move and when someone will pause. During the day, they hover over us, ingrained within our everyday movement, during night, they expose our path of movement and hide from us, the dark corridors of our urban landscape. Our imagination creates the second layer of boundary, playing out images of what happens behind those dark corners that we don't see but assume to occur. In turn we choose to stay loyal to these determined paths of passages, never to stray away, as doing so will break conventions, it will make us remember our city, our landscapes, the spaces in between, and the buildings that inhabits them, and the responsibilities we've chosen to ignore during the day, and the city we choose to turn off at night.
